There are significant differences between automation equipment and other general-purpose equipment. In addition to the inherent cost of the equipment itself, the process of installation and commissioning is extremely complex, and the labor costs involved (I. e. service costs) cannot be underestimated.
In fact, many general-purpose laboratory equipment can be used by laypeople after purchase. In fact, they have to undergo detailed performance verification and application testing to ensure that each component runs correctly and the experimental results are consistent with manual operation with high accuracy and reliability.
If data distortion is encountered, not only the people who adjust the equipment at the customer's site, but also the internal team behind the company that supports them should debug the data together. The cost of human input is enormous.
Automation, the liberation of manpower, is not an easy thing!
If there is no human operation and maintenance, automation equipment is only a pile of scrap iron. In the context of high dependence on manpower, its value should not only be reflected by these scrap iron.
At present, talent is a valuable asset, high investment brings high value, if the return is low, the business model is difficult to last. Wait until the equipment is more intelligent, no longer rely on debugging personnel, and then play price war is not too late.

From February 10 to 13, 2026, the Arab International Medical Laboratory Instruments and Equipment Exhibition (WHX Labs) will grandly open at the Dubai World Trade Center in the United Arab Emirates.
